"Who Else?" "Yogi Bear"-Intro/Credits to The Yogi Bear Show
Yogi Bear
Theme Song: The Yogi Bear Show/Yogi Bear from Cartoon Network: Groovies
61%: Yogi Bear is not just one of Hanna-Barbera’s most popular characters but he’s also their biggest mascot back in their hayday, yogi bear lives in the small forest of jellystone park were he sneaks his way to stealing the locals picnic baskets to snake on like no average could do, all the while trying to avoid getting caught by the rangers specifically ranger smith, yogi does this while with his buddy boo-boo bear, a tiny bear with a bowtie.
Yogi: Ey, Boo-Boo. Let’s go get some picnic baskets.
Boo-Boo: Jee, I don't think Ranger Smith will like that, Yogi.
At the time, Yogi was one of the most popular characters that kids would see, he’d had his own movie that aired in theaters called “Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear!” alongside others that aired on television, he’s crossed over with his HB pals more than once in various specials to tv shows, appeared in comics, video games, and was referenced by various tv shows plus commercials even to this day.
Despite his legacy however Yogi Bear has fallen into obscurity with possibly so many people not remembering or knowing who the smarter than the bear is, plus warner brothers doesn’t give yogi any attention outside of Scooby-Doo! & The Flintstones, two other popular hanna-barbera series’ that are still relevant today. Despite this he still gets some attention whether it’s something big or something small, like i said above yogi’s got some recent appearances in the form of cameos & commercials such as being in the background in Space Jam 2, appears in a commercial with Boo-Boo in a GEICO commercial back in 2021, was with the WB & HB characters in Animaniacs(2020), and did crossover with….Teen Titans GO! Alongside Daffy Duck and The Gremlins a year ago.
He did get a live-action movie in 2010 and while it didn’t revitalize his popularity i don’t think it did a poor job at representing the character, then there's Jellystone a cartoon that puts all the hanna-barbera characters together in a crazy chaotic world for them to live in to deal with while enjoying their everyday normal lives, Yogi’s one of the main characters on the show and has a job as a doctor with boo-boo & cindy bear acting like one of the funny characters in the series, this show was also made by the creator Chowder by the way.
Overall, Yogi still has some form of relevancy to show for him to still appear in multiversus, though in terms of requests doesn’t seem like he’s one of the highest from the fandom, this again plays into people not knowing yogi or even not believing he’d appear.
His chances may not be good but there could still be a chance that Player First Games are interested in putting more hanna-barbera characters and are just adding scooby characters for now before they get into the other HB gang(scooby characters? It’s just scoob who’s needed) plus warner could be interested in adding yogi if they feel like it, highly unlikely but possible.
Alternate Theme: Welcome to Jellystone!
60%: I remember watching Yogi Bear back in my childhood. I saw the episode “Pie-Pirates” on a Scooby-Doo! Where Are You tape which exposed me to the character, then boomerang were i saw the majority of his show aswell as shorts like the groovies music video & the short “When Bears Attack” i liked the short, i also did see a couple of the movie and began watching jellystone a while ago, i believe i have a bit of mixed reaction for yogi cause while i feel like i am not too much of a fan i look back to remember being fond of watching yogi bear even some of the stuff he’s been in like “Yogi’s Space Race” which i liked the concept itself, though i hate seeing that Captain Good character win every race cause he’s playing himself as a hero but in reality he’s a bad guy in disguise(so far i’ve rewatched some episodes were he wins but i think i remember other characters winning, can someone confirm this for me, please?)
I like the idea of Yogi being an announcer, however a playable version of him would be good seeing whatever weird gadget, cartoony hijinks, and costumes he could get. I say if he’s important enough to be in this game then i think so.
Lum, The Invader Girl
Abstain: I am aware of Urusei Yatsura but i’ve never seen it for fearful reasons(and they may be stupid), but i think this show was what inspired Star Vs. The Forces of Evil.
I think if Lum has some connections with Warner then it can help though considering what other characters Viz Media has that’s been close to the company i think their chances are more likely than her’s.
