Death-X-Dorugoramon, Ryusenji, Greymon Special Parallel, Death-X-Dorugamon, & Death-X-Doruguremon Previews for Digimon Card Game Booster Set 17 (2024)

The Digimon Card Game Twitter (2) (3) (4) has updated with card previews from Booster Set 17. This time it's Death-X-Dorugoramon, Ryusenji, Greymon, Death-X-Dorugamon, & Death-X-Doruguremon.

We got the first 3 as bonus previews for Digimon Con a bit earlier tonight.

Death-X-Dorugoramon features art showing him being quite menacing, with a solid level of detail.

Tamer card Ryusenji gets a card featuring his Digimon Seekers profile art.

Greymon is a special parallel card showing off new art of him battling Parrotmon from Digimon Adventure movie 1. The card was previously teased via a poster.

Death-X-Dorugamon has some solid night vibes featuring him jumping off a rooftop in the middle of a storm.

Death-X-Doruguremon has him just rushing to attack, with soem really detailed creepy art.

Annoying how great that alt-art Greymon looks, cause I know it will be 60 bucks on Cardmarket if not more.

Anyway as I'm watching through Digimon Con in the background I decided to make my predictions for the remainder of the cardlist (I might have missed something and maybe something wild might happen I couldn't predict. Also I haven't caught up to Seekers):

Instead of the parrotmon line, maybe it'd make sense to see some of terriermon's line? Or maybe lopmon going into a purple cherubimon virus? Or, and it's a bit of a stretch, maybe some gaps will be taken by some of the more background Digimon like dinohyumon?

I'm honestly not feeling Terriermon. They like to do booster expansions to go at least a bit hand-in-hand with starter decks, but BT-16 already did that and pretty much exhausted what was missing for Terriermon at least in terms of available Digimon. I guess Cherubimon (Vice) could still receive an ACE treatment following an Virtue ACE n EX-06, but BT-17 has so far not shown any interest in covering the Golden Digimentals movie probably precisely because of the Double Typhoon deck release.

Random background digimon are possible. Honestly, I haven't watched any of the Digimon movies in a long time to consider what was in them, so I didn't think of Dinohumon, but I did like the idea of Thunderbirdmon as it ties in as a potential pre-evolution of Parrotmon and it's an armor, which would make Pipismon stand out less as the only armor in the card list.

If Muchom*on is who gets used for Parrotmon, I think they'd probably go with Kokatorimon or Akatorimon.

I'm starting to think Eaglemon wont be here tho.

Don't think we'll get Muchom*on tho, as Liberators makes it pretty clear there's a Muchom*on in Pteromon's starter deck.

They said Fenriloogamon would be in the set back when they first announced it so that's definitely in purple. I'm also hopeful the first remaining red spot might be an Armor like Baromon.

They also said the first 02 movie would be part of this set so we're definitely getting something from it. And there's still another Tamer slot to fill in either Yellow or Green.
